Before you wear it
Red clothing & red kwa
Red fabric may transfer colour onto the skin, especially around the underarm area.
If you wear a red kwa or any red outfit before changing into your wedding gown, gently wipe the skin with wet wipes or a damp cloth first.
Makeup, body products & perfume
Foundation, fake tan, bronzer, shimmer, glitter, perfume, deodorant or antiperspirant may transfer onto or react with delicate fabrics.
Let all products dry completely before wearing the gown, and don't spray perfume directly onto it.
On the day
Keep the gown dry
Avoid water where possible, especially seawater, as it may affect delicate fabrics. At the seaside, keep the gown away from the water.
Coloured items
Sauces, red wine, fresh bouquets, coloured petals or dyed decorations may transfer colour onto the gown. A little extra care is greatly appreciated.
Outdoor photoshoots
On grass, sand or mud, check the ground is clean and dry: stains and damp are hard to clean from delicate fabrics.
Ask a bridesmaid or helper to carry the train.
Walking in the gown
In heels, gently lift the gown to avoid stepping on the fabric, and let it down again for photos.
Rainy days
We don't recommend wearing the gown in the rain, as dust and damp may cause damage or stains.
If you do, use an umbrella, arrange car-to-door transport and have someone carry the train.
If the gown gets wet, tell us as soon as possible. Don't wash it: hang it in a well-ventilated area to air dry, and don't put it wet into the suitcase or garment bag.
Avoid sunlight
Don't leave the gown in the sun when you're not wearing it: sunlight can yellow or oxidise beads and fabric.
Care & return
Steaming & ironing
Rental gowns: please don't steam or iron the gown yourself. If it needs refreshing, WhatsApp us and we will guide you.
Gowns you own: place a clean white fabric that won't bleed between the steamer or iron and the gown. Always use low heat and never iron directly: this protects beads and embellishments.
In an emergency
Contact us on WhatsApp and we will guide you on what to do.
Accessories & detachable parts
Please return all detachable sleeves, ribbons, straps, overskirt, veil, gloves, garment bag and accessories together with the gown.
Returning your gown
Return the gown in person, or via a trusted family member or friend.
By courier: use a safe, authorised courier and hand the gown over yourself or through someone you trust.
Please return it on time: it may be reserved for the next bride.
